Culver's didn't start out on the right foot as they delivered my order to my table with the printout that said "Reuben" and what appeared pretty convincingly to be a Ham and Swiss sandwich. After bringing the matter to their attention a few minutes later, I was given the correct order. The bread on this Reuben got soggy pretty quick. The meat they used was pretty decent, and they had flavorful sauerkraut and good-sized cheese. Both the dressing and the sauerkraut was a little light, but the flavors were still able to make it through for a good blend. The bread was very lightly grilled--possibly since my order was a re-do, but it could have sat on the grill just a little longer. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and the dining area in good shape (which is to be expected since the restaurant is relatively new), but I was surprised that the straw dispenser was already empty before 11:30 a.m. I've never had the Reuben at Culver's before, since it seems to be a newer offering, and I must admit that for the price, it's not a bad investment.

This was my first time at a Culver's Restaurant. The menu was extensive with lots of yummy sounding choices. The very attractive and friendly brunette that took my order made the experience even more enjoyable. Ok, as for the sandwich: very cheesy and the meat had an average taste but it was packed with meat so I score it high in value. I did try the cheese balls on the side. They were bland. I believe it was cheddar cheese. If they would offer a hot cheese ball option would be great, although I'd try the onion rings as well next time. Overall good price, service and side order options make it worth another stop there for lunch or dinner!

Not for the lactose intolerant. I have never had so much cheese on a Reuben before. It's not a bad thing because I like cheese (probably more than I should). Just be warned each bite requires the melted cheese gobbling skills usually reserved for pizza slices. When I come back though I will try somthing else. I had never been to a Culver's before and was amazed by their expansive menu options. I very nearly committed the heresy of ordering their Walleye fish sandwich rather than the Reuben.

Life's too short to skimp by paying $4.29 for a hastily prepared Reuben in a tacky atmosphere. I realize that not everyone has $11 to shell out at Alcatraz, but this felt like a McDonald's experience. If you want low budget, go to Arby's for at least a semblance of class, and they won't try to feed you pork when you're not looking.
