The bread had a sweet flavor to it and was wonderful. This bread was superb. However, during preparation the outside got a little charred which didn't taste so good. They didn't give me or my wife a pickle with the Reuben, although our other friends got them. The dressing and sauerkraut was good and liberally applied. I didn't notice the Swiss cheese very much, and the corned beef on my particular sandwich was fatty and somewhat tough. This is still a very good sandwich that is worth the high price they charge. I recommend that everyone give Reggie's a try for a tasty Reuben experience. I have always enjoyed Reggies in the past.

The bread was delicious! It was a little sweet; I could have stood it tasting a bit more of rye, but it was serviceable. I knocked points off because, while others at the very same table received a pickle spear with their sandwich, I did not. Okay, technically I could have asked for one, but there was a long line and in the end the wimpy-looking green wedge wasn't worth the hassle...but it's the principle of the thing! Where's the consistency?? But to continue with the sandwich...it was quite moist and flavorful, and though others experienced over-toastedness and slightly chewy meat, mine was pert-near perfect on both counts. The bread was nice and thick, which made it not too soggy, but I do think that contributed to the uneven and over-eager toasting on some sandwiches. The presentation would ordinarily get a B for being uninspired were it not for the aforementioned pickle fiasco, which scored it a full letter grade lower. Atmosphere I put at a B. Compared to other places, it was probably less than average, but you can tell at a glance from outside that you're not going into the Ritz, so there wasn't really a letdown. Seating was at a premium. A few words to the wise: bring your own chair and be sure to powder your nose before you leave the house, as the Ladies' lounge is unlovely and must be reached via a labrynthine, dark, and very cluttered hallway. One wrong turn and you'll be washing dishes til the cows come home.

Everything I had envisioned from the first time. Homemade thick sliced Dark rye with just a hint of sweetness leftover from the baking process. Meat so tender you will think it is pre-chewed (kinda gross if you think about it!). Don't forget to tour the town of New Augusta across the street. Town was built at a time when Indianapolis was miles south of there. Still has many of original structures. MMMM Reggies......

The Reuben wasn't as good as last time, mainly due to the fact that the bread was toasted too much, and half of the sandwich was best described as charred. The half that wasn't burnt, was an "A" level sandwich, but the extra-crispy portion detracted from my experience. Other than that, the Reggie's Reuben experience was pretty similar to the last one.

Great tasting bread with a little sweet twang to it. Good beef and kraut. Good and messy and held together well. It was a busy place so it must be good.

This is a very good Reuben. If a good tasting Reuben is all you care about, this is the place. However this place is a hole, and a small one at that. The dining area is completely inadequate. Not even big enough for Christmas dinner with my family. The price is way too high. $9.00 for sandwich small bag of chips, pickle spear and a soda is too much. I know the money is not going into overhead, so why so much? But like I said it is one of the best tasting Reubens around.

This was one of the better Reubens that I have ever had. The bread was great. The meat had good flavor and was tender. Just the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing. The only bad thing was the fries. They were COLD!!

Delicious, but there was some fat in the meat that I had to remove. I enjoyed it but it was a little too rich for me. I needed several napkins before I finished.

I was very impressed with this Reuben if not the atmosphere. I think this restaurant has a "hole in the wall" atmosphere with great food. The Reuben was flavorful, the meat tender and the saurkraut and cheese fresh. The bread is the best feature of this sandwich, though, it simply is the best bread I have had with a Reuben (hear that, Shapiro's). The bread is homemade, fresh, and each bite is delicious. I'm glad this place is a 25 minute drive from work because I would be eating here every day.

Again, toasted bread on cold sandwiches--not one of my favorites. And I'm not sure if it was rye or pumpernickel, but apart from that it had a good taste. Bit pricey for a place like that. All in all B, B+ good.
