Turtlelini’s Pizza and Pasta

We stopped at Turtlelini’s after visiting Mammoth Cave for the day. The lady behind the counter tried to talk us into simply eating whatever was on the buffet, but we said that we preferred to look at the menu. She told us that we could sit at a table and look at the menus, but then when we were ready to order we should come back to the counter and place our order.

We decided to get the Baked Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Butter/Parmesan Breadsticks.

We waited a long, long, time, and then finally the breadsticks came out.

Garlic Butter/Parmesan Breadsticks (Oven baked dough lightly buttered, topped with garlic and parmesan. Served with marinara sauce.) $3.99

The breadsticks were so flavorful, and kind of melted in my mouth! However they prepared this oven baked dough, with its generous proportions of butter, garlic and parmesan, I was hooked. I wanted to eat them all but had to share with Katherine.

The Baked Chicken Alfredo came out a little while later, each with two slices of garlic bread.

Grilled Chicken Alfredo (Creamy alfredo sauce mixed with fettuccini noodles topped with grilled chicken and our cheese blend) $7.49

The Grilled Chicken Alfredo was nice, and topped with the melted cheese made it even more decadent than simply having the creamy alfredo sauce. I ate mine all up—it was a reasonable sized portion, not too big and not too small.

We enjoyed our meal, which was just right to satisfy us after spending 4 hours hiking underground.
