Sanders Cafe and Sanders Park

The Harland Sanders Café located in Corbin, Kentucky, is where Colonel Sanders developed his famous recipe for fried chicken. The restaurant was operated from 1940-1956. There is an active Kentucky Fried Chicken/KFC restaurant in a new structure adjoining it. The original building opened as a museum in 1990.

Sanders Park in downtown Corbin was dedicated on August 5, 2015, and a statue of Colonel Sanders was unveiled at that time.
