June 11, 2026 - Lido Kosher Deli, Long Beach, NY

The Reuben at Lido Kosher Deli was totally impractical to eat—it was so tall. If you want a Reuben just to maximize your corned beef intake, then this is the Reuben for you. However, if you like a Reuben where there is a balance of many different flavors that come together to make a real taste treat, then this Reuben fails miserably.

June 9, 2026 - Sam LaGrassa’s, Boston, MA

The Reuben at Sam LaGrassa’s was a very good sandwich. The corned beef was juicy, and the sauerkraut was also plentiful and quite sweet with a good tang. I would love to have another one.

Mar. 13, 2026 - Sassy Onion, Salem, OR

The Reuben at the Sassy Onion was a nice, enormous handful of a sandwich. It was super solid and the flavors were marvelous throughout.

Mar. 12, 2026 - Stacks Dinner and Delicatessen, Bend, OR

Overall, this Reuben from Stacks Dinner and Delicatessen had great corned beef, but was quite disappointing, especially for the price point at which it is sold. It will fill you up, but honestly it was not as good as an Arby's Reuben.

Mar. 11, 2026 - Laurie’s Grill, Bend, OR

The Reuben at Laurie's Grill featured a seven-slice laminated layer of precisely-cut corned beef that was accompanied by a pleasant flavor and sweet tones from the sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. Overall it was a good Reuben.

Jan. 29, 2026 - Slatts Pub & Grill - Cincinnati, OH

We ordered the “Famous” Slatts Reuben at Slatts Pub & Grill in Blue Ash, Ohio, and they had run out of marbled rye bread. Perhaps they ran out because it’s so “famous”? Anyway, they substituted sourdough and it still turned out to be a pretty decent sandwich.

Oct. 5, 2025 - Donna's Old Town Cafe - Madisonville, TN

We were somewhat disappointed with the Ridgecrest Reuben at Donna's Old Town Cafe in downtown Madisonville, Tennessee. It tasted more like a shredded meat sandwich than it did a Reuben.

Oct. 3, 2025 - Millstone Social, Richmond, KY

We had an absolutely fabulous Reuben while traveling the former Dixie Highway, at Millstone Social in downtown Richmond, Kentucky. This Reuben had an excellent balance of flavors.

June 29, 2025 - Five Bridges Bar and Grill, Riverview, New Brunswick

The rye bread was thin and fally-aparty at Five Bridges Bar and Grill, for the first Reuben review submitted for New Brunswick. When the bread itself deconstructs into "swirl" and "non-swirl" then the bread is a little too weak.

June 25, 2025 - Local Public House, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

The first Reuben review submitted for Nova Scotia is for Local Public House, a pub located in a shopping plaza. The lighting in the dining area wasn't really welcome, but the sandwich hit the spot for a lunch stop.

Apr. 20, 2025 - Grilled Club Cafe, Clarksburg, WV

While driving across West Virginia, we made a Reuben stop at a nice little place called the Grilled Club Cafe. It was a neat place to eat. Read our thoughts about their Reuben sandwich.

We visited a little cafe in downtown Portsmouth, Ohio, the Market Street Cafe. They offered a delightful and well-balanced lunch-sized Reuben panini that checked all of the boxes for deliciousness.
