The first thing I noticed was that the bread was too lightly toasted. I've eaten here before, and usually they are toasted so much that the sandwich will scrape the roof of my mouth. I would attribute the light grilling to the fact that they were preparing nine Reubens in a row. I do like the dressing on the side--and the thousand island dressing was good and tangy. I couldn't taste the Swiss cheese at all, but I thought the overall flavor to be really rather good. I did have one tough piece of corned beef, but I would gladly eat another sandwich here. We did have smoking tables sitting on each side of us, but the restaurant as a whole didn't seem to have any residual smoke smell.

Very crispy fries; Swiss cheese was somewhat mild. The flavor of sauerkraut overpowered the overall sandwich taste.

A very uneven experience. The place is dark and smokey, and the TVs are distracting, but I did like the music selection (Queen, Steve Miller, Dire Straits) even if it was a hair loud. The waitress was good, even though she took a long time to get to us because she was the only one serving: she even put a phone call on hold to finish ringing up my bill! Amazing! Presentation was about as good as it gets without real plates, they even put the nice toothpicks with plastic tassels in each sandwich half, but the clear spot on the waxed paper in the basket was a sure sign that this would be a soggy sandwich. The bread was flavorless and textureless, ineffectually toasted, just something to hold the ingredients, also making it difficult to dip the sandwich in the 1000 island dressing cup. The rest of the ingredients were again uneven: the meat was okay, the sauerkraut had a good blend of flavor and texture, and I could see the cheese but couldn't really taste it. I might stop by again if I were in the area (and I'd certainly pick this reuben over Union Jack's, down the street), but I wouldn't make a special trip.

The sandwich was pretty good, but it would have been better had it been grilled longer. I thought the balance of ingredients was appropriate, as nothing seemed to really stand out as the dominant flavor. The restaurant was a bit smoky, but it wasn't too bad, so it took a bit of a hit on atmosphere.

Not bad, but it didn't make me want to drive down here for another.

Overall, pretty good. The bread needed to be toasted or grilled longer. The kraut amount was perfect, but slightly vinegary. The thousand island on the side was great. The smoking environment was very irritating.

The meat was not very good, it was the processed and pressed "lunchmeat" style. The kraut was good, the bread was overbuttered. I would not come back here.

The overall presentation gave me a false expectation level of what turned out to be just an average meal. Meat was lean and of average proportion. Sauerkraut was too sweet and vinegary--I didn't like it. Sandwich was falling out of a thin slice of soggy rye (side note: fries looked great but were overcooked and dry).

Overall this was a pretty good Reuben-seeking experience. The sandwich was good, but not great. The corned beef was kind of tough and the portions were not very large. The french fries were good and this accentuated the overall dining experience.
