The Miami Market is a rural market that also has a deli. It’s a popular stop for lunch, and there was quite a line inside waiting to get to the deli counter as we arrived. Most people grab their lunch and go, and the line went pretty quickly. The wait for the Reuben sandwich was about ten minutes.

The sandwich arrived in a styrofoam container, ready to take out. We were able to find an available table under the porch at the front of the market.

The first thing I noticed when opening the container containing the Reuben is that there were many, many layers of thinly-sliced corned beef. The rye bread had a lighter color, and was also lightly-grilled, such that it didn't tear up the roof of one’s mouth when eating it. The bread had a good rye and caraway flavor and it held up nicely to the contents of the sandwich. Part of this structural durability was likely due to the Swiss cheese lining both slices of bread, to keep the bread from becoming too soggy from the sandwich ingredients.

The Thousand Island was noticeable, and had a nice sweet note that blended well with the sauerkraut and the beef which had a nice tangy quality. The sauerkraut tasted fresh and was well-drained. The sandwich’s balance, overall, was perhaps a little heavy on the corned beef aspect, but it seemed to blend pretty well overall.

It was surprising that the sandwich was not sloppier than it was, considering all that was between the slices of bread. I didn't have the problem that happens with some Reubens where the ingredients slip out and fall to the plate while taking bites. I did find myself using my napkin occasionally while I ate the sandwich, but not an excessive amount.

The Reuben from Miami Market is a great value at only $7.25, and you definitely get more than you pay for. I will definitely try to make it back again in the future.

The bread for this Reuben was toasted perfectly—not too crisp, but well-grilled. I loved the sweeter dressing and the cheese was nicely melted and mellow. I would have liked a touch more sauerkraut. I really liked the way the sandwich held its shape, not losing ingredients while I held it. Friendly, helpful staff!

For $7.25, the rueben is a great find! They are freshly made so plan on waiting 10+ minutes. Decent amount of outdoor seating too.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Reuben sandwich at Miami Market, a small deli that truly knows how to make a standout sandwich. Packed with a generous amount of tender, flavorful meat, the Reuben was balanced perfectly with just the right amount of tangy sauerkraut and creamy Swiss cheese. The Thousand Island dressing added a delightful touch of sweetness, tying all the flavors together. What really stood out for me was the bread—expertly toasted to a perfect golden brown, it provided a satisfying crunch without being too hard, enhancing the overall texture of the sandwich.

Despite the 15-minute wait for my food, the friendly service and warm atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. The restaurant was bustling with activity, a clear testament to its popularity. The high-quality ingredients and excellent preparation were matched by the deli's affordable prices, making it a great value for the money. This combination of delicious food, reasonable pricing, and friendly service makes Miami Market a must-visit spot for anyone craving a top-notch Reuben sandwich.
