Chilito's Mexican Bar and Grill looks like a modern fast food restaurant except inside there is a small bar in the middle of the dining area. It bears a certain architectural similarity to a Fazoli's restaurant. The dining room had nice booths and tables and some Mexican style decor. We waited near the entrance to be shown to our table.
After ordering our drinks, the server brought us a large plastic platter containing some chips and salsa. The salsa was a little spicier than other Mexican restaurants I have eaten in. The chips and salsa were both very good.
When the server brought small containers of coffee creamer for a coffee refill during our lunch, the containers had some sort of red goo on the outside. I'm not sure where they'd been stored--or maybe they got dripped on while sitting on someone else's table during their dinner and got served again.
The Fajita Nachos were $9.50 and we both ordered the steak variety. When they arrived, I was quite impressed with the beautiful presentation of the nachos on the round plate. They were around the edges, pointing outward kind of like the rays of the sun.
In addition to the cheese, the nachos came with green and red peppers, red and yellow onions. There were no tomatoes included.
There was quite a large amount of onions, which made the taste a little sweeter than normal. Katherine remarked that it was maybe a little too thick with onions. However, I liked the additional sweetness and would definitely come here again for their Fajita Nachos.
