Las Margaritas
Columbia, MO
Aug 1, 2019
After our day's bike ride, we went back to our vacation rental where we showered and finished the jigsaw puzzle that we had started the previous evening.
After a while we began to get hungry and decided to visit Las Margaritas on the south side of Columbia.
The place looked extremely busy and seemed to be located next to a defunct bank where people had parked their cars in the old drive through teller lanes. We had to walk around the entire building to find the entrance to Las Margaritas.
We were given the choice to eat inside or on their patio, and we chose to eat out on the patio that evening, since it was in the shade and the evening had begun to cool off.
Katherine ordered the Trash Can Nachos which actually arrived in a giant metal can that was open on the top and on the bottom, sitting on the plate. Then the waiter lifted the sides of the can and the nacho concoction fell through the bottom and created a giant cylinder-shaped nacho tower on the plate. This was certainly one of the most impressive nacho unveilings we had ever witnessed. I regretted that I did not get a video recording of the whole thing.
We returned to our vacation rental, and watched the final episode of Blandings, "Custody of the Pumpkin."
