Final Destination
Indian Head, SK to Regina, SK
Jun 27, 2008
From Indian Head, we drove to catch the Trans-Canada Highway, which delivered us to Regina in just about an hour. We had reservations at the Holiday Inn Express, which was very nice (except that parking’s a bit of a hassle). We were greeted with a goodie bag left by our friends (one of whom works here at the hotel).
We had just time to settle in and freshen up when Chris’s parents arrived, thoughtfully placed in the room next to ours. We caught up on one another’s travels (they’d flown into Calgary, AB and seen the Canadian Rockies) before heading for dinner at East Side Mario’s.
We had a bit of a wait, but dinner was delicious and it was nice to sit and chat. After dinner, we popped into the local Wal-Mart (research indicates that Canadian Wal-Marts are just as depressing as American ones) and then headed back to the hotel, where Mom and Katherine proceeded to almost get lost on the way to the ice machine on the 2nd floor.
