Getting in Touch with Some of Katherine’s Roots

A bit over an hour’s drive from lunch brought us to Minot, North Dakota. Minot probably offers many interesting sights, but we were interested only in the Scandinavian Heritage Center. Did you know that Katherine has some Norwegian somewhere in the mists of her family origins? Truth!



The Heritage Center had two homes, a Dala Horse (representing Sweden), another Danish windmill, and a huge replica stave church. It was a lovely park and offered many picture opportunities, from the buildings to the statue of Hans Christian Andersen.
